A New Scholarship for Aspiring Students with BIG Ambitions!
The Toby Carrodus Scholarship
I am excited to announce that I have created a new scholarship, the Toby Carrodus scholarship for students from low socio-economic backgrounds!
As a student, I genuinely struggled to make ends meet. This created significant stress on top of the usual university stress assocated with exams, assignments, etc. Thankfully, I was fortunate to be selected by several scholarship programs thanks to the Friedrich Nauman Foundation for Freedom, the Australian National University and the Baden-Wuerttemberg Foundation.
Now I am extremely excited to offer my own scholarship, the Toby Carrodus scholarship, to help the students from low socio-economic backgrounds whose shoes I was once in. I am really thrilled to start helping the next generation realize their own potential!

“The Toby Carrodus Scholarship is a source of opportunity for driven individuals pursuing their education at university.
This scholarship program embodies a commitment to alleviating the barrier of financial hardship — something that Toby experienced himself. Toby Carrodus came from a low-income household in regional Australia and was fortunate to be selected for several scholarships during his undergraduate and postgraduate studies, ensuring he could reach his study and career aspirations. Now, through the Toby Carrodus Scholarship, Toby wishes to enable individuals to pursue their academic goals while reducing the financial burden of doing so.
The scholarship offers more than just financial assistance; it provides a support system designed to nurture the development of the recipient. With the opportunity for mentorship by Toby Carrodus himself, the selected candidate can seek career advice, as well as personal development, guidance and encouragement, as they build their foundation for future success. This mentorship not only provides valuable insights but also fosters a connection that can benefit the student’s life long after they’ve completed their studies.
The scholarship provides $5,000 AUD per annum and is open to those from low socio/economic backgrounds from a rural/regional area, who are relocating to a larger metropolitan area for university. Toby Carrodus is seeking those with demonstrated academic and sporting achievements, as well as involvement within the community, to apply.
